Using a Delrin head sleeved in brass to form the blade, and an anodized aluminum tube for the body, this is both a very handsome whistle, and a wonderful musical instrument. The tone is warm, rounded and mellow with a bit of chiff. It also has plenty of volume.

Black Diamond Whistle

The Black Diamond whistle is the latest offering from Erle Bartlett, the maker of the Syn whistles. Featuring a machined Delrin head on a brass tube, these whistles have the traditional look of the tin whistle while having the high quality and consistency desired by serious players. The whistle can be tuned by adjusting the head on the body. There is 1/2 inch of useable tuning adjustment, and the whistle is in-tune with the body approximately 1/4 inch out.

The Syn high C whistle is a high-quality instrument in aluminum with a delrin fipple and internal brass tuning slide. Easily affordable, yet with a wonderful clear, sweet tone, this whistle is often favored over many more expensive whistles.
